The dealer deals out all the cards one at a time face down in front of each player. Don’t worry if the cards are not able to be dealt out evenly.
Rules on How to Play:
Players take turns placing the top card of their pile on top of the center stack.
When a player places a Jack on the top of the pile, each player tries to be the first to put their hand on top of it. The player whose hand was first, gets the central pile of cards and shuffles these into her own cards to form a new pile.
The player to the winner’s left continues play by placing a card face up in the center to create a new center pile.
When a player loses all of their cards, they may slap-in. In this game this is done by being the first person to slap a Jack, which gains them the pile of cards.
In this game if a player slaps a card that is not a Jack, they must give their top card to the player who played that card. The winner is the player who wins all of the cards. For a shorter game, the winner is the player with the most cards at the end of a set time period.
Slapjack Rules Variations:
In other variations when a player goes out they stay out. The player who gets all the cards wins the game.
