Old Maid Card Game

Number of Players:

Old Maid card game requires two to six players. Use a fifty-two card deck, the joker may be used as the Old Maid instead of the Queen.

Rules on How to Play:

The cards are dealt as equally as possible among the players. Each player lays any pairs (cards of the same value and color) face down in front of him. If a player has three cards of the same value, he may only lay down two of the cards. The third card stays in the player’s hand to be matched later in the game.

Each player in turn takes a card from the player on their right. Play continues until all matches have been made and one player is left with the Old Maid card game (Queen) card, which does not have a match. The player with the most matches wins the game.
