Crazy Eight Card Game
Objective:
Crazy Eight card game requires you to get rid of all cards in your hands.
The Cards:
Crazy Eight card game requires a standard 52 card deck is used.
How to Play:
Deal seven cards to each player. Place the pack face down, turn over the top card.
Opponent of dealer starts by playing a card that matches the rank or the suit. Players take turns matching the top card. If you don’t have a matching card draw from the pile until you find a match. If the top card is a heart or 5, opponent of dealer has the option of playing any heart or 5. If a 8 is played to cover a heart the next player must play a heart or a 5.
The 8s are wild. An 8 can be played as any suit (rank can’t be specified ). Opponent has to match the suit you name or play a 8.
Play until a player plays all their cards. When the stock is gone and no one can match the top card, the game is "blocked" and the
Crazy Eight card game is over.
Instructions for Scoring:
A player who "goes out" scores the point total of cards left in opponent’s hand. The 8s count 50, face cards 10, and other cards are worth their number value (ace=1). In a blocked game, each player adds up their points; whoever has the lower count gets the difference. Game is to 100 points, or an agreed upon score.
