Annie Duke Bio:
A natural poker star, comes from a family of champions and takes on the world with her poker skills, she began playing poker with her family when she was young. Her brother, Howard Lederer; who is a poker player, suggested she play tournament poker after she dropped out of a Ph.D. program in cognitive psychology. After some lessons from Howard and after reading every poker book available she began playing tournament poker.
Annie placed 13th in her first World Series tournament. In her second, she placed third and, during her first year, she cashed for more than $70,000.
In 2004 she defeated the nine male champions at the WSOP invitational Championship and took home the $2 million dollar.
